The 2019 Take a Kid Fishing Tournament was held on May 11, 2019, at the Huxley Bay Marina and despite the damp weather, there was a good turnout. Badder's Law Firm sponsored Jay the Pirate, who entertained the children with his balloon tricks. There were free hotdogs and drinks and all of the children that entered the tournament received a free rod and reel. The casting contest was not held this year at the tournament. Congratulations also go out to the winner of the Shelbyville Lions Club boat raffle Mrs. Becky Elliot.
