On December 26, 2018, at approximately 7:00 p.m., DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a call that involved an altercation that was witnessed in the parking lot of a business east of Mansfield, La.  Upon arrival, deputies were able to locate an abandoned vehicle owned by a female employee who had not shown up for work that day.  Deputies obtained cell phone information of the female and working with the cellular provider were able to locate the victim at Natchitoches Central Jr. High School. 

 

It was later learned by detectives that the female had been taken against her will and was being held by an abductor, later identified as Brian Young (B/M - DOB - 09/05/1986) of Natchitoches, La, who was a coach at the school.  With assistance from Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office, Young was taken into custody by Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office.  Young was later transferred to the DeSoto Parish Detention Center and booked for Kidnapping and Domestic Violence.  The investigation into the incident is still on-going.
