Shelby County Commissioners' Court Meeting Results

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Shelby County Commissioners' Court met today 8-22-18 at the active Shelby County Courthouse at around 9:30 a.m. They took the following actions:
 
1. They approved and paid weekly expenses.
 
2. They approved and paid the current payroll.
 
3.  No public comments were given.
 
4.  They discussed and took action to transfer Contingency Funds to Fund 64-Grants for the State Hazard Mitigation Plan reimbursements not received.  The amount was $5,250.
 
5. The Shelby County Burn ban was placed back in effect.  Once again there is a burn ban in Shelby County.
 
 
Shelby County Tax-Assessor-Collector Debra Riley 
 
6.  The Tax-Assessor-Collector Debora Riley addressed the court about taking action to end or renew the contract with Computer Information Concepts.  The court tabled this until a future meeting.
 
7.  The court omitted item 7 which was the submission of the notice of calculation of effective and rollback tax rates.  This item was already looked at in a previous meeting.
 
8.  They approved the Proposed 2018 County Tax Rate and set public hearing dates and times.
 
9.  Lastly, the court adjourned.
