On July 5th, 2018 at approximately 10:23 a.m the Center Police Department responded to a call of an unresponsive person on Sampson Street.  Upon arrival, officers found 27 year old Brakia Rashad Roland of Center, Texas deceased.  Justice of the Peace Pct. 5 Mike Crouch arrived on scene for the inquest along with the Community Funeral Home.  The deceased man was taken to Tyler, Texas for an autopsy with results pending at this time.  This case has been ruled a homicide and is still currently under investigation.
