Shelby County Jail Sergeant Arrested

According to Joey Haley a commissioned peace officer with 123rd District Attorney's Office.

On August 8, 2017 a complaint was filled by a released inmate from the Shelby County Jail.  The complainant Tony Josh Parker alleged that while an inmate at the Shelby County Jail he was inappropriately "grabbed" by the genitals by a Jail Sergeant Mr. Korey Lanier McClure.

Parker stated that this happened on multiple occasions while he was a trustee at the jail.  Mr. Parker alleged that on one occasion, the Jail Sergeant called him into his office and showed him a video on his phone of an unknown male masturbating.  On this same day he also showed Parker a picture of himself naked.  In addition after he was released from the jail the complainant Parker said that he received texts asking to allow oral sex acts to be performed on him by the Jail Sergeant.

Parker also alleged that while an inmate at the Shelby County Jail, he was told by McClure that if he gave him $200 he would get him released from jail.  McClure allowed Parker to make a phone call to his mother to make arrangements to get the money.  Parker stated that he was allowed to go into the recreation area by himself, where his mother gave him the money, he was then let back into the jail where he turned it over to Sgt. McClure.

The photos and texts were taken as evidence and Korey Lanier McClure was arrested on the charges of Improper Sexual Activity with a Person in custody, and Bribery.  According to Graves Bail Bonds he posted a total bond of $11,000 of which $8,000 was for bribery and $3,000 was for sexual misconduct.
