Former Webster Parish Deputy Coroner accused of stealing

Former Webster Parish Deputy Coroner Bobby Guin turned himself into the Webster Sheriff Department on Monday after being indicted by a Webster Parish grand jury for felony theft and malfeasance in office.  Guin is accused of stealing $93,000 from the Coroner's office by transferring the funds directly into his personal account starting back in 2009.  According to sources, Guin was over his head financially and that the stolen money was being used to pay for his daughter's horseback riding classes.  Guin was released from his position as Deputy Coroner a little over a month ago. If found guilty Guin could serve up to 15 years in prison, and the earliest the case could go to trial would be February 2013.
