Closure of 3 Juvenile Sex Crime Cases

Sheriff Rodney Arbuckle would like to announce multiple arrests and the closure of three (3) juvenile sex crime cases by DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division. 

 

The first pair of arrests involve a husband and wife, identified as James Matthew Pittman (W/M - DOB: 06/05/1976) and Rhydonia Gullette Pittman (W/F - DOB: 03/14/1985) both of Keithville, LA.  Following a complaint from an outside party, an investigation was initiated by a juvenile sex crimes detective.  It was found through the investigation that a juvenile subject related to Mr. & Mrs. Pittman was sexually exploited within DeSoto Parish.  At the conclusion of the investigation, Mr. Pittman was placed under arrest for LA R.S. 14:42 First Degree Rape and LA R.S. 14:81.2 Molestation of a Juvenile.  Mrs. Pittman was placed under arrest for LA R.S. 14:42 First Degree Rape.  Both Mr. and Mrs. Pittman were booked into the DeSoto Parish Detention Center.

 

The second arrest involved a subject identified as Damarcus Williams (B/M - DOB: 01/16/1995) of Frierson, LA.  A complaint was initiated by a parent of a juvenile at the DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office.  Following an investigation by the juvenile sex crimes detective, it was found that Mr. Williams had illegal sexual contact with the juvenile.  He was placed under arrest for LA R.S. 14:80 Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile and booked into the DeSoto Parish Detention Center.

 

The third arrest was the result of an investigation to a complaint filed by a parent of a juvenile.  The detective found that a subject, identified as Steve Robert Ranney (W/M - DOB: 08/13/1980) of Shreveport, LA, had sexual contact with a juvenile while in DeSoto Parish.  Mr. Ranney was arrested for LA R.S. 14:92 Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile and LA R.S. 14:81 Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile.  He was also booked into the DeSoto Parish Detention Center.
