Per Joaquin Fire Marshal Jeremy Boyett, the city limits of Joaquin is under a burn ban effective at 6:00 p.m. On Tuesday, August 4th, 2015. Due to extremely dry conditions, the ban will remain in effect until further notice. All outdoor burning within the city limits of Joaquin is strictly prohibited. The Joaquin Volunteer Fire Department would also like to ask all of the surrounding communities to please refrain from burning until conditions become more favorable.
