It still looks like we will get a pretty good round or two of rain on Friday thru Monday and more during next week with a pattern change being seen by the NWS Storm Prediction Center.

The first graphic reflects the following:   
   - A dry line is headed toward us from our West.
   - A LOW front to our North is expected to stall out over OKLA and N.TX and allow an open path for Gulf moisture to flow into our area. 7 day forecast for those areas is 5+ inches of additional rainfall. Due to the expected rain, Texhoma will begin releasing more water in order to accommodate the new rain.
   - Sea breeze generated showers from the Gulf are expected to be over us at some point in time and bring some T-storms back into the forecast just like yesterday to our South.   

   - There are some Tropical waves or depressed areas forming in the Gulf that will generate even more rain for South Texas Gulf Coastal region and are expected to mix and create more rain for us. We could see some 1.75-2.5 inches and more under some of these storms during the 7 day period.  
Please remember that with Lots of energy aloft, strong T-storms can form quickly and the downbursts can create damaging winds along with hail, lightning, and heavy rain where they form.
