A line of thunderstorms packing high-gusty winds and scattered heavy rain brewed up across portions of the area late afternoon Tuesday into the evening hours.

Two trees were blown over Hwy. 87, about four miles south of Timpson around 9:45 p.m. The already saturated ground likely assisted.

TxDOT crews were called to remove the trees, with traffic control from the Timpson Vol. Fire Dept.

Rainfall reports were heavy at times into Center southward.

There’s another chance of these scattered thunderstorms today.
