The Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will have a regular meeting at 9:30 a.m. this morning.

Among the agenda items will be the yearly renewal application for insurance coverage through the Texas Association of Counties Risk Management Pool for the following coverage; General Liability, Public Official Liability, Law Enforcement Liability and Crime Coverage.

In addition, commissioners are expected to advertise for bids on oil for roads; a data use agreement between the Texas Health and Human Services Enterprises and Shelby County; and approve a proclamation presented by Sherry Harding, executive director of Shelby County Outreach Ministries designating the second week in June as ‘Hunger Awareness Week’.

The court will also discuss and possibly ratify the Declaration of Disaster regarding the flooding within the county; and the contract on the rental of the old elementary school gym to Denetra Slaughter and Celia Aguilar.
