5... more days of Sun and heat....then 5... days of rain chances.

Not heavy, but it is a weather pattern change for an extended period of time. Enough so that our gardens and grass will appreciate the moisture. With the sun and winds, the surface moisture is beginning to evaporate rapidly.  

The good news is the soil water content tests reflect moisture to a 2 1/2 to 3 foot depth.

The T-storms should provide some rain coverage for much of the area by the end of the rain period even though each day's rain may be widely scattered in nature. rain total is forecast to be 1/4 to 1/2 inch over the rain period if nothing develops that would change the estimates. Some sea breeze pop up showers in Houston//Beaumont area Saturday and Sunday. Those are not expected to reach Deep East Texas.

Heat advisory for most of Texas and ozone action and advisory for Dallas, Houston, Beaumont.
