We want to bring you up-to-date on the condition of the child injured in an ATV accident near Center last Sunday evening.

Six-year old Avery Lawson of Center remains in ICU at University Health in Shreveport as doctors continue to monitor head injuries sustained when she was thrown from the vehicle.

Avery received a skull fracture in the incident, and according to a family member’s social media post, physicians continue to observe the effects of the injury.

Avery’s mother, Emma Boles Whitehead says, “She is resting comfortably and is showing no signs of pain.” The family thanks everyone for their prayers and support.
