Funeral Notices: 06/05/15

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces service for 91-year old Bernice “Buncy” McDonald of Shelbyville. She passed away Thursday in Nacogdoches. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Watson & Sons Chapel, with interment at East Hamilton Cemetery, Shelby County. Among Bernice “Buncy” McDonald’s survivors is daughter, Ann Foster of Fort Worth; son-in-law, Richard Tobey of Fort Worth; brother-in-law, Raymond McDonald of Boyd; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Pippin of Houston and Laura McDonald of Shelbyville.

 

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces a graveside service for 77-year old Shirley Ann Askew of Center. She passed away Wednesday in Center. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. this morning at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Shirley Ann Askew was a 1956 Center High School graduate and worked for a number of years with home health visiting nurse program. Among survivors are children, Donna McDonald Strickland of Palestine and Robert McDonald of Center; and brothers-in-law, Wayne & Sue Maxwell and Kendall McDonald.

 

Taylor Funeral Home of Timpson announces service for 68-year old Delores Jeannine McFadden of Timpson. She passed away Thursday in Garrison. Service will be at 2 p.m. this afternoon in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Among Jean McFadden’s survivors is a son, Jeff Burleson of Timpson; and sisters, Janis Gregston and Mary Myers, both of Nacogdoches.

 

Wyman Roberts Funeral Home of San Augustine announces funeral service for 80-year old Mrs. Ferne Marie Fussell of San Augustine. Service will be at 3 p.m. this afternoon in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, with interment in the Shiloh Cemetery, San Augustine County. She was a certified nurse aid and also worked for the Baldree's Grocery Store in San Augustine for many years.

 

Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home of Carthage announces a memorial service for 69-year old Don L. Watkins of Henderson. He passed away Wednesday in Longview. Memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Tenaha Church of Christ. Among Don L. Watkins’ survivors is his wife, Darla Lake Watkins of Henderson; sister, Sherry & Philip Welch of Frankston; and brothers-in-law, Ferrell & DeAnna Lake of Montgomery and Ronnie & Janice Lake of Henderson.

 

Garrison Funeral Home announces a memorial service for 65-year old Mildred Sue Lunsford of Garrison. Memorial Service will be at 6 p.m. Sunday at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Garrison.

 

Community Funeral Home of Center will have a visitation for 70-year old Henry Edens of Tenaha. He passed away May 21 in Lufkin. Visitation will be from 10 to 5 today at Community Funeral Home Chapel in Center. Cremation will follow. Among Henry Edens survivors is his wife, Marvin Nell Edens of Tenaha; and daughter, Keitha Reed of Tenaha.
