Weather Update @ 12 noon Thursday

This is what it looks like for the next 6 days. HOT with temps in the 90's and HUMID due to the moisture release from our saturated ground.  Heat related issues are likely to occur. Check on your friends, family, neighbors, pets, and the elderly. Drink lots of water to stay hydrated, wear light clothing, and take frequent breaks if you must work outdoors during the heat of the day.

Our chances for T-storms do return after our really nice days...for about 4 days according to the current views of the NWS folks for our weather here in Deep East Texas.

Though the rivers are showing reduction, there is still major flooding on the Red River, some areas of the Brazos & the Nueces, along with many coastal areas. Search and recovery continues in many flooded areas of the state. 40+ roads are still under water or in wash out status across the state.

If you know anyone that has experienced property damage due to the weather events in May, please have them get in touch with FEMA and get registered for assistance.
