The next Food Bank Distribution will be Wednesday, June 17th at Woodland Christian Church, Timpson, Texas (last one at this location.)

A noon meeting will be held on June 19th to hopefully garner support and volunteers for the food pantry program here in Timpson.

Timpson Food for Thought is proud to announce we are graduating from a "mobile pantry" to a local food pantry. The First Baptist Church located at 215 N 2nd Street in Timpson will be the new location for monthly service beginning July 2015. We could not have accomplished this without the help of our host for the past 24 months, Bro. Roy Platt and the Timpson Woodland Christian Church.

"We would like to invite everyone interested in sponsoring, donating and/or volunteering with the Timpson Food for Thought "food pantry" to attend this meeting. This meeting will let you know how you can help," said Debra Smith.

The Timpson mobile pantry has served, on average, 135 families per month over the past 2 years; these families come from Timpson, Garrison, Center, Gary, Tenaha and our surrounding communities. They range from young working parents to our senior citizens. Timpson Food for Thought will also continue to operate the Senior Box Program each month.

Please join us and the program coordinators from the East Texas Food Bank at 12 noon on Friday, June 19th at the First Baptist Church in Timpson. We look forward to seeing you there!
