The Chamber is buying a building!

After leasing the fine facility at 2516 North Street for years, the Chamber plans to own and upgrade it.

"Several businesses, individuals and foundations have already pledged," noted Facility Task Force Chair Paul Smith III.

Donors will be listed formally in the building.. Naming rights for special rooms - and the building - are available.

26th Annual Texas Blueberry Festival presented by

The world's tastiest festival is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 13, in historic downtown Nacogdoches and Festival Park.

A Blueberry Bluegrass Concert in the Park presented by Rex Perry Autoplex is 5 to 10 p.m., Friday, June 12 in Banita Creek Park.  

 

"We wanted to create a free, family-friendly event for Friday that would attract more people to spend the night, to stay in our hotels, eat in our wonderful restaurants and shop in our great stores," said Scott Waller, Blueberry Bluegrass Concert in the Park committee member.

Membership 101: Reception & Orientation

All Chamber members are invited to the Membership 101: Reception & Orientation hosted by Fitness 360, 4822 N. University Dr., from 5:30 to 7pm., Tuesday, June 16.  

 

The reception is come-as-you-are, and gives every Chamber member a chance to welcome those whoare new-to-the-Chamber and mingle with others in buisness-and chances to win great door prizes.

Attend the Fourth Friday Luncheon presented by Urgent Doc - Urgent Care Clinic, noon to 1 p.m., Friday, June 26 at Austin Hall, 4603 North St. - next door to The Shack.

 

Speakers Kinnie Douglas Reina, MPH, CHES, Director of Community Health at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital, and Clay Farell, FACHE, Chief Operating Officer at Nacogdoches Medical Center, will present "Nacogdoches Healthcare Update: Exploring Alternatives for Healthcare Coverage."

June 6   Little Miss Blueberry Pageant presented by Pageants of East Texas. The pageant will be held in the SFA Baker Pattillo Student Center and begins at 9:30 a.m. Winners will be presented at the Texas Blueberry Festival on June 13.

 

June 9   SFA-Chamber Connection committee meets, 8:05 a.m. at the SFA Alumni Assoc. on Vista Dr. Committee sponsor is East Texas Professional Credit Union.

 

June 9   Texas BlueberryFestival committee meets, 1:30 p.m. at the Chamber.

 

June 10   Media Conference and Sponsor Recognition for the Texas Blueberry Festival presented by Brookshire Brothers, 10 a.m. at the Chamber. All Media, Festival Sponsors and Volunteers invited!

 

June 12   Friday Night Blueberry Bluegrass Concert in the Park presented by Rex Perry Autoplex, a kick off to the blueberry weekend, 5 to 10 p.m., in Banita Creek Park. Free admission for this family-friendly event that will feature five musical acts: The Steve Hartz Family Band, The Coursey Family Band, The Blake Brothers Bluegrass Band, The Bottom Dollar String Band and Catahoula Drive. Bring lawn chairs and blankets (no coolers please).

New Senior Behavioral Health Center. Refreshments will be served from 5 pm - 6:30 pm and Ribbon Cutting ceremony at 5:30 pm.

 

June 19   Texas Blueberry Festival Volunteer Thank You Lunch, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. All festival volunteers are invited to this come-and-go lunch at the Chamber. Contact the Chamber to RSVP. Catered by Cotton Patch Cafe.
