A four-wheeler accident Sunday evening near Center has resulted in a youngster being life-flighted to University Health in Shreveport with a reported head injury.

 

The young girl has been identified as 6-year old Avery Lawson of Center, and her grandfather, Ken Boles tells Center Broadcasting she was thrown from the ATV as she and two other children were riding.

 

The incident occured around 7:30 p.m. at an undisclosed location.

 

Avery is reported to have a skull fracture as her condition is being monitored. Boles said late Monday they would know more within a 48 to 72 hour period.

 

Another unidentified child was reportedly treated at Center Emergency Department for injuries.

 

Avery's mother is Emma Boles Whitehead.
