NWS Weather Update

The current event unfolding at this time is getting a kick start from  what is called a Gulf sea breeze event moving to the North from the Gulf Coast.  As the day progresses so will the opportunities for rain.  Our rain will increase tomorrow as the Gulf air collides with the upper low moving toward us.  Most of the activity will remain South of I 20 thru Saturday with clearing from the West to East on Sunday.  We may have close to 2 inches of rain over the 3 day period.  South of us along I 10 all the way to Florida will see 5+ inches of rain as this is a slow moving frontal system. This will be the main focus for severe weather.

With the clearing of the front on Sunday we should see the sun by mid day and lots of sun on Monday, Tuesday, and through the first part of the day on Wednesday when another system... tho weak... will bring more rain in lesser amounts thru the 24-25 weekend.
