Texas A&M Agrilife Extension along with Nacogdoches Medical Center and Brookshire Brothers are sponsoring the Shelby County Fit 5K Fun Run & Walk at 8 a.m., Saturday, April 18. 

Entry fee is 5 cans of non-perishable food items, and the event is open to all ages-and you do not have to be a member of the Step Up Scale Down program.

The non-perishable food items go to Shelby County Outreach Ministries.

The event begins at Center Park Pond Pavilion behind the baseball fields.
