Timpson FFA students stay active in several events

Area IX Career Development Contest April 9th 2015 - The following Timpson students completed and came home with numerous awards in team events and individual placing’s. Career Development Events build on what is learned in agricultural classes and encourage members to put their knowledge into practice. These events are designed to help a member prepare for a career in agriculture by testing and challenging the student's technical, leadership, interpersonal and teamwork skills as well as their knowledge of the subject matter. CDEs answer the question, "When will I use this knowledge in the real world?"

Pineywoods District Convention


On April 13, 2015 Timpson FFA students attended Pineywoods District Convention and Speaking Contest.  When running for an office students are required to complete an application, interview, test, writing prompt and deliver a speech to the Pineywoods District delegation.  Timpson FFA is proud to announce that Amanda Yates will be the 2015-2016 Pineywoods District Sentinel.  Also, at convention Chandler Burgay competed in Extemporaneous Public Speaking and placed 2nd and will be competing at the Area IX contest on May 21st.
