Looks like the San Augustine ISD Board of Trustees could be hiring for a new athletic director and head football coach this week.

According to San Augustine ISD Superintendent Dr. Virginia Liepman, the board will have a special board meeting at 6 p.m. tonight to review applicants for the position in executive session.

She said plans are to make a hire at the regular meeting Thursday.

Dr. Liepman told us earlier this month the district had received over 60 applicants for the position that became available when Donald Hubbard submitted his resignation after four years in San Augustine.
