Center Middle School GT Innovations bring home 8 awards

*Provided by Jennifer Ferguson, GT Teacher*

34 CMS GT students traveled to Kilgore on Monday, April 6 to compete at Innovative Inventions. Students spent the last several weeks preparing for the competition. They had to brainstorm many products that could use improvement, create a working prototype, prepare a display board with all of their research and information, and compile a notebook that contained
all of their brainstorming and research. At the competition, they presented their new product to the judges in a convention type setting. In addition to their invention being judged, students were given a task to complete. They were allotted  an hour to draft a contraption showing  the process of a mouse changing a light bulb using multiple specific objects and at least
15 steps.

*Students will be hosting a showcase where all of the students will be
presenting their products to the public on April 28th from 5:30-7:30 in the
High School Cafeteria. *
