Bloomin' on the Square event to be held in downtown Center Saturday

The 5th annual Shelby County Bloomin’ on the Square presented by Hughes Florist will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow in downtown Center.

 

You’re invited to shop, visit and learn more about growing items in the outdoors. Jodi Fountain is Shelby Beautiful Clean chairman and says they’ve added more vendors to this year’s event.

 

Andrew King of King’s Nursery will give a presentation at 10:00 a.m. on “Landscaping for Birds and Butterflies. Also, The Hope Clinic is conducting a coloring contest for children up to age 12. A highlight of Bloomin’ on the Square is The Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center “Butterfly Release”, to be held at 11 a.m. 

 

Children are also invited to the “What did the Fox Say?” Tea Party at 11:30 a.m., Saturday with multiple settings.

 

Event sponsors include Farmers State Bank, Shelby Savings Bank and Sanford & Sons Lawn Service.
