Center Broadcasting was contacted by Chad Pate, owner of Our Town Times newspaper Thursday saying this week’s edition of the paper contains a tribute to Cole DePriest of Tenaha, the 8-year old that passed away in a horse-riding incident a week ago.

He said the front-page article was written by Dustin Bridges, a family friend of the DePriest and Roland Cross family, and that he had around 1,000 extra copies of the paper printed this so that every post office box holder in Tenaha would receive a paper. Pate said it was a way to honor the DePriest and Cross families.

By the way, the Cole-Man Scholarship Foundation GoFundMe effort has raised over $32,000 in a week.

Pate also said he has received the OK to have Our Town Times placed at several Carthage retailers, including Wal-Mart, HEB and Brookshire Brothers.
