Weather Update @4 p.m.

The dry line now extends from the cold front Low in Okla to just West of Waco and San Antonio and on down into Mexico near Piedras Negras.  In front of this is a broken line of widely scattered t-storms with light rain and occasional lightning moving to the North East at 20 miles per hour. It is training over the same areas at this time with very slow movement to the East.  Also, these cloud tops are relatively low at 11,000 to 14,000 feet and are NOT severe in nature like those in OK, MO. IL where Severe T-storms, hail and high winds along with lots of dangerous lightning is currently occurring and many severe watches and warnings have been issued. It looks like the slow nature of the movement will not bring this weather into our area until the mid day/late afternoon time frame tomorrow.

Again, we are on the Southern most part away from the front where the weather is not severe in nature.

An even larger cold front that extends from Wyoming thru Utah on to Arizona and down to Mexico will be our next round of weather headed our way.  Those areas are experiencing high winds 25-40 with gusts to 60 and blowing dust.... greatly reducing visibility ahead of the front.
