Weather Update @ 10 a.m.

... Lake Wind Advisory in effect until 11 PM CDT this evening... 
The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a lake Wind Advisory... which will be in effect until 11 PM CDT this evening.

* Event... strong and gusty winds of 15 to 20 mph with higher gusts to 30 to 35 mph will occur with an enhanced pressure gradient as surface low pressure moves across the plains and Mississippi Valley. The winds will continue to be strong and gusty after a cold front passage during the day and overnight. 

* Timing... through 11 PM CDT this evening. There will be a period when the winds will lower just prior to a cold frontal passage... then return to strong and gusty in wake of the front.

More rain is being forecast. THE clash of the cold and warm Gulf air is expected to bring some severe weather in the form of strong winds, hail and some possible tornado activity along with lightning.   Northern and East Texas is included in the forecast area.  The front will move rapidly through our areas. The activity is anticipated to begin in early to mid afternoon.
