In recognition of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, the Rainbow Room Volunteers will again sponsor a "Blue Ribbon Tree." Participants will tie a blue ribbon on the tree for each confirmed victim of abuse or neglect in Shelby County during the past year. Also, a small cross will be placed at the base of the tree as a remembrance of those children who died as a result of their injuries.

The public is invited to attend the brief ceremony which will take place on at 4:30 p.m. this afternoon, Thursday, April 2nd on the southeast corner of the Historic Courthouse square.
