San Augustine March weather stats, rainfall pushes up average

In San Augustine, official weather observer Tom Johnson is saying March’s rainfall closed out 6.81 inches above normal, bringing the year-to-date amount to 16.04 inches, or 2.90 above average. The average yearly rainfall in San Augustine is 52.16 inches.

 

Johnson says the warmest temperature was 83 degrees on March 17, with the coolest being 27 degrees on March 6.

 

In some other weather related notes, Johnson says pollen is continuing to cause respiratory issues at high risk. He notes it’s primarily comprised of Cedar, Juniper, grasses, weeds, all tree varieties and with the rainy, warm weather, mold made a return. He says the pollen count is 10.7 out of 12 index level.

 

Additionally, Johnson reports mosquitoes are out in force due to standing water. He reminds you to take precaution to protect yourself, your family and pets.
