Center ISD Administration asking for public's help in maintaining facilities

Letter to the Editor:

Center ISD Facilities

Center ISD appreciates the display of support by the community over the past few years as we have improved several of our buildings and facilities. We are especially pleased that many of our patrons use roughrider stadium, the tennis courts, and surrounding areas as a place of gathering, fellowship, and physical activity. We are proud of the quality, appearance, and the educational experiences each provide.  In order for our facilities to retain its quality for our students and community members both now and in the future, special care and attention to the usage regulations must be followed.  The life expectancy of the stadium track and field, the tennis courts, and other school properties will be extended if the regulations are followed. Currently, the facilities are being abused and the regulations are being ignored by many. To be more specific, strollers, bikes, skateboards, gum, colored drinks, and pets are not allowed on the stadium track, field, and tennis courts. Center ISD is asking you to join us in our effort to keep our facilities clean, well maintained, and accessible for all to enjoy. If the abuse and rapid deterioration of our investment in quality facilities continues, the district may be faced with the difficult decision of closing the stadium to the public. Please keep in mind that the City of Center has constructed wonderful parks and recreation options, including a superb walking trail, for our community to enjoy and use. Again, please help us by encouraging others to respect the regulations that are in place at our outdoor venues.

Respectfully,

Center ISD Administration
