Tigers and Lady Tigers Turn Attention to Martinsville

Fresh off of two rousing wins over rival Shelbyville, the Tenaha Tiger Hoops teams travel to Martinsville tonight for key 22-2A matchups. 

For the Lady Tigers, their 20-9 season can culminate with a district championship with a win in either of their last two games. 

Tonight is their first chance to lock up the District race against the Lady Pirates who now sit alone in 2nd place with a 6-2 record. 

In the first round of district play, Tenaha sprinted to a 56-37 win. 

For the boys the stakes are high as well.  On the line is the opportunity to remain in a 2nd place tie with Timpson as well as stay just one game behind Shelbyville for the district lead.  2nd place is the prime position in 22-2A since that is the spot that avoids the
Dallardsville Big Sandy (#1 ranked by TABC) quadrant of the bracket. 

The Tigers lost at the buzzer to Martinsville 28-27 in round one and currently
sit tied with Timpson in 2nd place at 4-2 in District play.  

Games will begin in Martinsville at 5:00 with JV Girls action.
