*Hector Morales* went 2-4 with a home run, but the Panola Ponies still fell to Weatherford 8-4 on Tuesday at Weatherford, Tx.

*Ryan Cheatham* started the game for the Ponies and had a great outing but an early season pitch count only let him last 3 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed two runs.

The top of the third saw Ponies take an early lead, 1-0. A solo blast by *Morales* started the inning off.

One Ponie base-runners came all the way around to score in each of the fourth, seventh and eighth. In the fourth, Ponies scored on an RBI single by *Landon Marshall*, scoring *Hunter Owens*.

Weatherford went up for good in the fourth, scoring three runs on two singles.

Weatherford matched its one-run fifth inning with one more in the sixth. In the fifth, Weatherford scored on a sacrifice fly by #11, plating #3.

One run in the top of the eighth helped the Ponies close its deficit to 5-4. An RBI single by *Chad McKinney* fueled Ponies 's comeback. Finally, #18 got *Marshall* to to end the threat.

Weatherford survived Ponies 's surge and put up three runs of its own in the eighth. Weatherford scored on an RBI single by #23, an RBI single by #8, and an RBI single by #9.

*Miguel Ausua* took the loss for the Ponies as he went 3 1/3 innings, struck out four, and gave up three runs.
