Ricky Harkness reported to be in "good" condition despite severe injuries to arms

To bring you up-to-date on the medical condition of the Center man involved in the industrial accident near Timpson last Tuesday, Jan. 27. Ricky Harkness remains at University Health in Shreveport with a lot of bone damage after his arms became entangled in the rollers of a wood chipper.

Becky Harkness of Harkness Litter told Center Broadcasting Ricky underwent 12 hours of surgery last Thursday doing precise skin graphing because of nerve damage.

Despite all this, Ms. Harkness says Ricky is doing good, and he’s fortunate to still have his arms.

As for the accident, they’re still unsure what actually happened.

She added they appreciate the prayers and thoughts for Ricky.

Harkness works for Harkness Litter and was found by a company truck driver after spending several hours with his arms caught in the chipper at a material yard off FM 415.
