The Nacogdoches medical community is mourning the sudden death of longtime physician, Dr. George Hugman III, who collapsed and passed away at Memorial Hospital while making rounds Monday morning.

The 59-year old had been appointed by the Memorial board of directors as the hospital’s first chief medical officer in October.

Service is pending for Dr. George Hugman at Cason Monk-Metcalf in Nacogdoches.
