Mangum Funeral Home announces service for 75-year old Lloyd D. Jacks of Center. He passed away Sunday at his residence. Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mangum Funeral Home, with burial at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. this evening at Mangum Funeral Home. He worked for the Texas Highway Department for 35 years, including 25 years in Shelby County. Among Lloyd Jacks' survivors is his wife, Shirley Ferguson Jacks of Center; daughters, Melinda Brittain of Arlington & Jack Brittain of Center; Monica & Ricky Smith of Joaquin; son, Joel Blake Palmer of Center; sisters, Ethel Droptini Lewis of Pineland and Florence McClelland of Hemphill; and brother, Marion C. “Dick” & Sara Jacks of Carthage.

 

Mangum Funeral Home announces service for 85-year old Roy Monroe Dent of Gary. He passed away Friday after a long illness. Service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Joaquin, with burial at New Prospect Cemetery, Timpson. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mangum Funeral Home. Among Roy Monroe Dent’s survivors is his brother, Ted Lee & Pat Dent of Nacogdoches; children, Roy M. & Hazlina of Malaysia, DeAnn & Mike Clark of the Atlantic, Tom A. & Dee Dent of Kansas, Joe & Deb Dent of Gary and Kenny & Teresa Dent of Gary.

Service will be at 1 p.m. at Community Funeral Home Chapel, with interment at Thompson Cemetery in Shelbyville. Among Anna "Shug" Moore's survivors is her husband, Robert Moore of Center; sons, Clarence Lester Moore of San Antonio and Jerome Moore of Center; brother, J.C.
