To bring you up-to-date on a shooting incident that took place in western Shelby County early last Friday morning, Shelby County Sheriff’s Dept. Investigator D.J. Dickerson told us over the weekend the case is still developing, with no further information.

The shooting sent Darrell Bailey to University Health in Shreveport via life-flight helicopter with a reported gunshot wound. Investigator Dickerson said Bailey is listed in stable condition.

In a press release from the sheriff’s department, the male suspect was unknown to Bailey at the time of the shooting that took place at a residence on County Road 1245, off Hwy. 7, some 15 miles from Center at the Circle B Poultry Farm around 3:18 a.m. Friday.
