"Junk in the Trunk" event coming to San Augustine Feb. 7

San Augustine Main Street is gearing up for their quarterly Junk in the Trunk Trades Day this Saturday, Feb. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in downtown San Augustine.

According to Main Street Manager Tracy Cox, if you would like to participate as a vendor they need antique vendors, arts and crafts vendors, clothing vendors, organization and school fundraising vendors, individual garage sales type vendors.

Ms. Cox says so far they have garage sale items, ball caps, re-purposed items, books, clothes, antiques, knives and much more.

She said to come hungry because food will be available. Pinto Pony will open at their downtown location. They will also be selling cookies out of a car.

In addition, Imogene’s Café will have a mobile trailer with sausage on a stick, funnel cakes and more.

Ms. Cox invites you to have a downtown shopping experience by visiting the cities’ unique shops open on Saturdays.

Vendor single spaces are $5 each. Applications are available at the San Augustine Main Street office in the county courthouse, or can be picked up at the Center Broadcasting studios at 307 San Augustine St. in Center.
