A suspect wanted by the Center Police Department for a stabbing incident that occurred at an East Center mobile home park Monday morning is now in custody.
According to arrest records at the Shelby County Jail, 39-year old Marcos Aguilar-Martinez was arrested by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and booked in to the jail on a charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon around 5 p.m. Monday.
According to Detective Sgt. Nicole Faulkner, Center Police received a 911 call from Pecan Grove Trailer Park around 10 a.m. She said the victim, 37-year old Florentina Rojas Gonzalez of Center reported she had been stabbed in the abdomen by her husband, Aguilar-Martinez.
Ms. Gonzalez was transported by ACE EMS to Center Municipal Airport and then life-flighted to University Health in Shreveport. She's listed in stable condition.
Sgt. Faulkner said Aguilar-Martinez fled the scene in a vehicle.
