The Center ISD's search for a new AD/head football coach continues. A 12-member search committee comprised of community, school district and board members was approved by trustees last month.

Board president James Greer told us after the Dec. 11 meeting the trustees and committee would start reviewing applications when the posting of the position ends. Checking the district's website Monday, the job posting has been removed.

Greer said the board hoped to hire at the February board meeting. He also told us there's a large applicant pool.

The search for a new Center ISD AD/head football coach was prompted by the resignation of Kevin Goodwin in November.

The Center ISD's next regular board meeting is Thursday, Jan. 15.
