The local newspaper in Timpson & Tenaha has a new owner, as Timpson native Chad Pate purchased the publication recently and has expanded coverage to include several surrounding towns.

Pate renamed the weekly, Our Town Times, and will be adding news from Joaquin, Garrison, Gary and Mt. Enterprise. During Monday's ribbon cutting/social mixer, Pate said his plan is simple, to continue the long history of the paper as a reliable source for community news, events and advertising.

Our Town Times is looking for community news reporters and contributors, if you'd like to write or submit news from Timpson, Tenaha, Joaquin, Garrison, Gary and Mt. Enterprise, contact Pate at 254-3618 or ourtowntimes.com.

He says one of his goals is for the paper to have a bigger on-line presence, which involves its own I-phone/Android device application.
