Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces graveside service for 79-year old Katherine Ann Permenter of Center. She passed away Friday in Nacogdoches. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. this evening at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center. Among Katherine All Permenter’s survivors is her husband, Dallon Permenter of Center; and sister, Louise Harmon of Beaumont.

 

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces service for 100-year old Ima Christine Eaves Honeycutt of Crockett, formerly of Center. Service will be held at 1 p.m. this afternoon at Watson & Sons Chapel, with interment at Spann’s Chapel Cemetery, Shelby County. Among Ima Christine Eaves Honeycutt’s survivors are sons, Otis D. Honeycutt and companion, Amber Honeycutt James of Crockett and James & Donna Honeycutt of Henderson.

 

Watson & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of service Sunday for former Shelby County Treasurer, 94-year old Lamerle Davis of Center. She passed away last Friday in Houston. Service was held at Watson & Sons Chapel, with interment at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center. Among Lamerle Davis’ survivors is a son, Bryan & Judy LaFitte of Houston; brothers, Earl Campbell of Center and Crit Campbell of Huxley; and sisters, Louise Greer & Ann Scarber, both of Huxley, and Kay Ballard of Mont Belvieu.

 

Garrison Funeral Home was in charge of service Sunday for 66-year old Jim “Jimmy” Nix of Garrison. He passed away last Thursday in Nacogdoches. Service was held at Garrison Funeral Home, with burial at Cold Springs Cemetery in Garrison. Among Jim Nix’s survivors is his wife, Sherry Spears Nix of Garrison; son, Rusty & Morgan Nix of Garrison; daughters, Sabrina & Josh Richards of Pollock, Tracy & Ken Conway of Longview and Courtney & J.B. Joyce of Longview; and brother, Scott Nix of Corinth, Texas.


Community Funeral Home of Center announces service for 64-year old Mrs. Lee Gayle McCollister of Center. She passed away last Thursday at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston. Service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Lily of the Valley Church of God in Chirst in Center, with interment at Westview Cemetery. A Wake will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Community Funeral Home Chapel in Center. Among Lee Gayle McCollister’s survivors are daughter, Crystal & Winford Hawkins of Carthage; sons, Dedtrick & Angela McCollister, Tony & Ada McCollister and Charles & Tina McCollister, all of Center; and sister, Virginia Mims of Nacogdoches.

 

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. this morning at First Baptist Church in Welaka, Florida for former Center resident, 86-year old Dixon Dale Hooker. He passed away last Tuesday. A burial will held at a later date at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Among Dixon Hooker's survivors is his wife, Alice Jo Hooker of Florida; daughter, Linda & Eddie Chung of Florida; and sister-in-law, Marian Hooker of Center.
