San Augustine official weather observer Tom Johnson has advised the December weather stats, and the monthly and yearly rainfall was also below average.

Johnson says San Augustine had a below normal 3.09 inches of rain. For the year, 45.18 inches was recorded, almost 7 inches below normal for 2014.

As for temperatures, Johnson said the warmest temperature for December was 78 degrees, with the coolest being 34.

In 2014, Johnson reported no 100 degree days, with the lowest temperature of the year being 16 degrees on Jan. 7.
