Shelby County Commissioners to hear request for ambulance service subsidy at meeting this morning

The Shelby County Commissioners’ Court has a special meeting at 9:30 a.m. this morning, and among the agenda items for discussion and possible action will be a request for temporary subsidy from ACE EMS with Dale Alexander and David Chandler to address the court.

 

Commissioners will also consider allowing the county attorney’s office and Justice of the Peace Pct. 1 move into office space on a rent free basis.

 

Also, JP Pct. 5-elect Mike Crouch is to address the court concerning the possibility of renting office space.

 

In other agenda items, the court will record the creation of Fund 83 the DA Non-Traffic Forfeiture Fund and Fund 84-the DA Traffic Forfeiture Fund. Tax Assessor Debora Riley is to address the court concerning evidence of compliance with Texas Property Code; the court will consider approving Commissioners Roscoe McSwain, Jimmy Lout and Travis Rodger to each purchase a John Deere tractor and brush cutter for their precincts through the Buy Board; approve Commissioner Rodgers to advertise for bids to sell a Ranch 2 door belly dump, a 1975 Chevy Silvarado flatbed truck and a Fiat 175 maintainer. Commissioners will also discuss and possibly take action on increasing the county mileage rate from 55.5 cents to 57.5 cents; and closing the courthouse on Friday, Dec. 26.
