The death of a Nacogdoches County woman and fire at her residence in October is still leaning toward an attempted murder-suicide.
A preliminary autopsy is reporting 61-year old Margi Lyn Goff shot herself after setting fire to her home on FM 1878, northeast of Nacogdoches on Oct. 27.
Her body was found with a close-contact wound to the chest, and gun nearby. G
off's common-law husband, 65-year old Hal David Parris, who's bed-ridden, was treated at a hospital and released.
An investigation continues.
