Timpson area child attacked by dog released to foster care, mother makes bail

We have some additional information on the incident involving the three-year old Timpson child that was attacked by a pit bull a couple of weeks ago.

Child protective Services say the child is doing well and recovering in foster care.

Shari Pulliam with CPS said an investigation is continuing as to place the child in the future.

The youngster was reportedly mauled by the dog when it went outside its home while his parents were asleep on Oct. 22. He was transferred from ETMC in Carthage to Texas Children’s in Dallas to receive treatment for dog-bite injuries to his head.

The parents, 20-year old Leanne Fox and 27-year old David Parks were arrested on charges of injury to a child.

Fox made bail Tuesday, while Parks remains in the Shelby County Jail on $50,000 bail.
