VFW, Ladies Auxiliary seeking entries for educator award

Shelby County Memorial Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8904 and the Ladies Auxiliary are seeking entries for their 2015 Citizenship Education Teacher Awards, Grades K-12. 

 

The VFW wants to identify and recognize America's best educators who instill a sense of national pride in students.  Teachers who promote civic responsibility, flag etiquette and patriotism are prime candidates for this award.

 

The first step is to fill out the nomination form and in 350 words or less describe why you feel your nominee should be selected. 

 

Your nomination is due to Larry Hume, VFW Post 8904 Quartermaster by November 1.

 

Call Larry Hume at 598-2976 to have an entry form emailed to you or stop by Chief Imaging, 614 Tenaha St., Center to pick up a copy.
