Tenaha's "Roarin' Band from Tiger Land" to debut corp style marching at tonight's game

The Tenaha ISD band, "The Roarin' Band from Tiger Land" will debut a new marching style for the home crowd tonight at The Pit, as the band has gone to a corp style.

Director of Bands and Fine Arts Instruction Brian Sours, says the band has been eager to finally perform their entire UIL marching show for the home folks. He added the "Corp Advantage" will provide a platform for the Roarin' Band to once again set the example for what small school bands can do.

Sours said the Tenaha band was once known as the best small school military marching band in the state, but the military created a ceiling that prevented the band from the ability to compete for the chance to medal at the UIL State Marching Band Championship.

Sours invites everyone to come out and support the team, cheerleaders, Tiger Dolls and Roarin' Band. He says they can't wait for the Tenaha fans to witness the difference.
