Voters of the Joaquin ISD failed to pass the Tax Ratification issue Saturday by a vote of 232-132. Superintendent Phil Worsham was unvailable for comment as to what the next step may be for the Joaquin ISD. He had told Center Broadcasting that the  only way to continue providing the programs at their current levels at JISD was to have passage of the issue, since state funding has been decreased.
