Mangum Funeral Home announces pending service for A.C. “Jake” Jacobs of Huxley. He passed away last night in San Augustine Memorial Hospital. Among A.C. “Jake” Jacobs’ survivors are children, Penny Jacobs Lightfoot of Columbus, Ronnie Jacobs of Houston, Jeanie Bryant of Cleveland and Susan Valentine of Horseshoe Bay.

 

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces service for 64-year old Henry Leroy Wilburn of Patroon. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Watson & Sons Chapel, with interment at Strong Cemetery in Huxley.

 

Mangum Funeral Home announces service for 21-year old Taylor Keith Keele of Center. Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at Mangum Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, family request that donations can be made to Mangum Funeral Home for funeral expenses.

 

Hicks Mortuary of Center announces service for 92-year old Hatcher B. "Paw Paw" Horton of the Mt. Gillion Community. Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Gillion Baptist Church, with burial at Mt. Gillion Cemetery. Vistitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Mt. Gillion Baptist Church. There will be a repass at the church following the committal.

 

Hicks Mortuary of Center announces service for 75-year old Willie "Uncle Bob" Cartwright of Nacogdoches, formerly of the East Hamilton Community. Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bright Morning Star Baptist Church in Center, with burial at Brittain Creek in the East Hamilton Community. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at Hicks Mortuary. Among Willie “Uncle Bob” Cartwright’s survivors are wife, Flora Mae Cartwright of Nacogdoches; sons, Willie Early Cartwright of Jackonville, James Cartwright of Nacogdoches and Ala Cartwright of Center; step-son, Jasper Pettigrew; daughters, Alice Cartwright of Jacksonville, Peggie Cartwright of Jacksonville, Loretta Cartwright of Pflugerville and Linda K. Cartwright of Jacksonville; step-daughter, Pam Pettigrew; brothers, Walter Allen Cartwright of Ft. Worth and Jack Cartwright of Shelbyville; and sister, Iva Nell Johnson of Shelbyville.

 

Community Funeral Home of Center announces memorial service for 77-year old Mrs. Emma Jean Cartwright Jordan of Shelbyville. Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Triumph 1st Pentecostal Church in Shelbyville.
