Funeral Notices: 9/4/14

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces pending service for 64-year old Henry Leroy Wilburn of Patroon. He passed away Wednesday. He had been a truck driver for Tyson Foods. Among Henry Leroy Wilburn's survivors are his mother, Grace Wilburn of Patroon; children, Brandi Emanis of Patroon, Shannon Wilburn of Sexton and Katie Smith of Patroon; and siblings, Bernice Graham of Lufkin, and Donice Wilburn of Nacogdoches.

 

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces the passing of 57-year old Jim Burr, III of Center. He died Monday in Shreveport. A memorial service will be planned at a later time. Among Jim Burr's survivors are his wife, Vickie Burr of Center; children, Danny Hayden Burr of New Mexico, Jessica Michelle Ingerton of Shelbyville, Jim William Burr IV of Center and Steven Huskey of Neuville; mother, Mary Ellen Estes of Joaquin and six sisters.

 

Mangum Funeral Home announces service for 21-year old Taylor Keith Keele of Center. Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mangum Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, family request that donations can be made to Mangum Funeral Home for funeral expenses.

 

Hicks Mortuary of Center announces service for 92-year old Hatcher B. "Paw Paw" Horton of the Mt. Gillion Community. Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Gillion Baptist Church, with burial at Mt. Gillion Cemetery. Vistitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mt. Gillion Baptist Church. There will be a repass at the church following the committal. Among Hatcher B. "Paw Paw" Horton's survivors are, brothers, his twin, Lane B. Horton and Milton Horton, Jr., both of Center; sister, Thelma Henderson of Center; and seven children he reared, Bessie Mangum of Washington, Margie Nell Thomas of Oregon, Joseph Horton and Edward Horton, both of Center, Eric Horton of Austin, Josie Harper of Spring and Sharon Hamilton of Timpson.

 

Hicks Mortuary announces pending service for 75-year old Willie "Uncle Bob" Cartwright of the East Hamilton Community. He passed away Wednesday.

 

Community Funeral Home of Center announces service for 77-year old Mrs. Emma Jean Cartwright Jordan of Shelbyville. She passed away last Thursday at Memorial Health System of East Texas in San Augustine. Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Triumph 1st Pentecostal Church in Shelbyville. Among Emma Jean Cartwright Jordan’s survivors are four daughters, Gloria Joyce Hewitt, Alfreida Cartwright, Esther Cartwright and Alvina Cartwright, all of Shelbyville; 3 sons, Eddie Lee Robertson, James Robert Cartwright and Michael Cartwright, all of Shelbyville; a sister, Margie Garrett of Shelbyville; 2 brothers, TC Cartwright, Jr. of Shelbyville, and Clifton Earl Cartwright of Tenaha; and sister-in-law, Creola Cartwright of Shelbyville.
